James and Betty Robison consider this mission effort to be a big part of LIFE’s ongoing ministry and missions’ efforts in the coming years. It will join other ministry outreach like LIFE Today television, Mission Feeding, LIFE Centers, Homes for LIFE and Water for LIFE as a primary ministry effort around the world.
Mission: RescueLIFE involves one on one street ministry, job placement training,
family food relief and behind the scenes work with authorities to help reach,
rescue and restore these children.
The friends of LIFE are being asked to join in Mission: RescueLIFE to help go
beyond a few children, to reach, rescue and help restore more than two thousand
children from a horrible life of prostitution and spiritual and physical deprivation.
The horror of human trafficking is a reality in the world today, but love can
make a difference…and IS making a difference already through Mission:
RescueLIFE.
Our efforts include ministry on multiple levels.
1st – Prevention. Going into the villages where human traffickers target young girls and provide much needed food and relief, thus eliminating the traffickers from purchasing the children from their families who are struggling to survive.
2nd – One on One. Our teams will visit the young people on the streets who are being forced to sell their bodies, encouraging them and offering them the good news of Christ and for some a new home and an opportunity to leave.
3rd – Restore. Restoring their hearts, minds and bodies to the child-like state they were meant to live at this time in their life. Providing material and other counseling that will help restore their childhood and remove the shame they are living with.
This mission effort began first in Thailand in 2008 with the House of Destiny,
but now, Mission: RescueLIFE will expand into India, Romania and Cambodia, with
a special four-week emphasis that will help reach, rescue and restore an additional
2,000 children being impacted by the horrors of human trafficking.
