The Miracle of Mission: Feeding

	"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress …" (James 1:27)
Malnutrition in children causes mental retardation and stunted growth. A child dies approximately every 6 seconds from malnutrition. 30,500 children under 5 die daily from diseases resulting from hunger. Africa is the only continent to have grown poorer in the past 25 years.

As a result, millions have died. In that same time frame, Mission feeding has saved the lives of over 5 million children.

As we begin the 21st year of Mission Feeding we have two goals: replenish our funds for Mission Feeding and expand to 500,000 children being fed each month.

Global conditions and food shortages have made our presence in Africa all the more essential. We have been feeding 425,000 children each month, but this year we will add 75,000 more children as Mission Feeding moves beyond our current areas of ministry in Angola, Mozambique, South Africa and parts of southern Sudan.

Mission Feeding continues to be a powerful combination of the generosity of God’s people, their "right living and right giving" along with our mission partners in the field, together sowing seeds of love and saving lives now and for eternity.
